Proposing on a boat in Istanbul
The boat to yourselves, the engines off near Rumeli Hisarı, and nobody else's tour group in the photographs. Private charter from €400.
Why a private boat and not a shared cruise
On a shared cruise you are proposing in front of thirty strangers with phones. It can still be lovely, but you do not control the moment: the boat keeps moving, the timing belongs to the schedule, and the photographs have other people's shoulders in them.
On a private charter the boat is yours for the time you booked. We can hold position where you want, cut the engines, and stay quiet while it happens. The crew knows to keep out of the frame.
Timing it with the light
Most people want the proposal at golden hour, and that time moves through the year — around 20:45 in June, around 16:25 in December. Tell us the date and we will tell you exactly when the light will be right, then build the charter around it.
A common shape: board ninety minutes before sunset, sail up past Ortaköy while it is still bright, hold near Rumeli Hisarı as the sun drops, and come back past the Maiden's Tower with the city lit. Two hours is enough. Three is comfortable.
What we can arrange
A cake brought out on deck (€25), a photo package of 40 edited photographs (€30), and hotel pickup on the European side (€15 per person). You are also welcome to bring your own cake, flowers, decorations or music — tell us in advance and we will have the table ready.
If you want someone to film it discreetly, say so when you book and we will position the host so they are not in the shot.
What it costs and what happens if plans change
Private charter is €200 per hour, minimum two hours — €400 for the boat. During sunset hours (17:00–22:00) the rate is €250 per hour. Nothing is charged when you book; you pay on board on the day, in cash or by card.
Free cancellation up to 72 hours before. If the weather makes it unsafe to sail we cancel and you pay nothing — you choose another date or a full refund. Nobody should be locked into proposing in bad weather.
