Bosphorus route guide
The route stop by stop, with a short narration you can read or listen to in your language. It runs in the browser — no app, no download.
Best opened once you are on the boat — turn the volume up and let it narrate.
- 1Kabataş pier
Every departure starts here on the European side, a short walk from the tram and the funicular. Look back as you leave — the old city skyline stacks up behind the pier.
- 2Dolmabahçe Palace
The sultans' waterfront palace stretches along the shore for more than half a kilometre. From the water you see it the way it was designed to be seen — facade first.
- 3Ortaköy & the bridge
The little mosque sits right under the first Bosphorus bridge — the most photographed corner of the strait. Two continents in one frame.
- 4Rumeli Hisarı
The 15th-century fortress climbs the hillside at the narrowest point of the strait. This is where sunset boats hold position while the light goes gold.
- 5Maiden's Tower
The tower has guarded the strait's southern mouth through centuries of legend. On the return leg it stands against the lit-up city.
